Momoko Kanaoka, the founder and designer of BabyPeach, was born and raised in Nara, Japan. From the ages of 18 to 23, she lived in New York City, where she studied fashion marketing, design, and textiles. She began creating her own line of handbags soon after moving to North Carolina in 2001. She currently lives with her husband and son in Cary, NC, where she designs and hand-manufactures BabyPeach handbags in her home workshop.
