smallthings designs
Teresa Robinson started smallthings designs in the fall of 2002. With a background in fine art, she created a unique, image-based line of handmade jewelry in sterling silver and stained glass. A variety of hand-cut silhouettes of natural images make up Teresa's signature line. And the smallthings line lives up to its name. The inspiration for the line lies in that which we often overlook. An insect, a simple bird, a flower – each and every one of Teresa's original designs are painstakingly cut by hand from a single sheet of sterling silver and laid over a background of stained glass.
Designs range from delicate birds, bees, and Art Deco-inspired flowers to the more punk-rock skull and star. Calling herself a ‘one woman jewelry machine', she hand-solders each of the pieces by herself in her Portland, OR studio.
In addition to being available at retailers across the USA, smallthings has been featured by Venus magazine, Daily Candy, and the Lucky magazine website. |
